In addition to hosting The Folk Sessions, Tom also produces several live concerts each year, including The Dirty Bourbon River Show at the Prescott Center for the Arts this past week where we recorded this episode back stage.

Episode #28 is up- This week Matt sits down with his very good friend Mr. Frank Abril, Arizona native, retired Hollywood studio set painter, & current Paulden, AZ resident.

When The Mile High Show was created, one of the goals of the producers

was to introduce some of the interesting local characters to the listening audience and Frank sure fits the bill.

Born in Arizona, he spent his childhood in Fresno, CA before signing on with Walt Disney Studios in the early 1970’s. He also spent time with Universal, working on many hit TV shows & movies throughout his career before retiring back in Arizona.

Our intro music this week is Hooray for Hollywood by Anita O’Day, our outro is Hollywood Swinging by Kool & The Gang.

Episode #27 is up- This week Matt sits down with Jantina Moulton Russell of the Mile High Comedy Theater.

Jantina talks teaching, family, & stand up, including the Mile High Comedy Theater upcoming show at The Prescott Elks Theater on August 15, 2015.

This episode was recorded at Brick & Bones Moonshine Bar & Bistro on Prescott’s Whiskey Row- home for great food, drink, and some of the best entertainment in the state, including the twice monthly Saturday “DJ Mellow B Comedy in the Loft” shows.

Episode #26 is up- This week Matt sits down with Chris Berry & Don Whitcher, 2 Arizona based musicians with national histories.

Listen in as they talk music, songs, gigs both good & bad, and their future plans in & around the Prescott AZ area including some upcoming shows at Big Daddy E’s BBQ in Chino Valley.

Episode #25 is up… sort of- This week Matt sits down with nobody. It’s been a busy, busy couple of weeks & while we’ve been able to set up some future episodes we didn’t get a chance to record a June 1^st episode.

But in December of last year we made a commitment to post each and every week so, here goes literally nothing- it’s an all Matt-on-Matt podcast this week.
